AT THEIR BEST IN JUNE:

THE REST OF THE WORLD

June is the first month of summer for much of the northern mid-latitudes.  For the southern part of that belt, it brings some of the nicest weather of the year.  The Middle East is dry, sunny, and not yet as hot as it will get later in the summer.  Northwestern Europe does not get much great weather, but June combines the early summer sunshine with bearable temperatures and less rain than full summer brings.

As a rule of thumb, you can usually assume that if a place is at its best in a particular month, then the months on either side of the featured month will have pretty good weather too.  The beach areas in this month are at their best for sightseeing.  Water sports enthusiasts will want to wait for warmer waters.
