AT THEIR BEST IN MAY
May is the sunniest month for much of northern Europe
and Alaska. However, it is still spring in those areas,
and not yet as warm as it will get in the summer. For areas that get uncomfortably hot in the
summer, May often has the best weather.
This is true for many destinations in Southwestern
United States.
The beach areas listed below are at their best for
sightseeing. Water sports enthusiasts
will want to wait for warmer waters in later months. Both Ireland and Scandinavia
are at their sunniest and driest, but by no means their warmest. As a rule of thumb, you can usually assume
that if a place is at its best in a particular month, then the months on either
side of the featured month will have pretty good weather too
