AT THEIR BEST IN APRIL

The northern hemisphere spring continues to move northward.  The northern fringe of the Tropics and the northern Sub-Tropics will be getting some of their nicest weather.  This includes a swath of the United States from the deserts of southern California across to most of Florida.  The northernmost West Indies also tend to peak in April, when the southern tier of islands are getting a bit warmish.  The Sea of Cortez side of Mexico’s Baja peninsula is also excellent.  The central mid-latitudes are getting more and more nice days, but are usually not yet at their peak.

As a rule of thumb, you can usually assume that if a place is at its best in a particular month, then the months on either side of the featured month will have pretty good weather too.  The beach areas featured below are at their best for sightseeing.  Water sports enthusiasts will want to wait for warmer waters in later months.
