AT THEIR BEST IN AUGUST
August is the last full month of summer for much of
the northern hemisphere. For many of the
more northern reaches of the hemisphere, the weather is reaching a peak. The beach areas featured in this month’s lists
will generally have their warmest waters of the year. On the other hand, the islands and lands of
the sub-tropics will see increasing number of tropical storms, cloudy skies
with frequent rains, and muggy temperatures.
