AT THEIR BEST

The world’s destinations do not all get a “fair deal” when it comes to weather.  Some places have excellent weather throughout the year, while others only get a few days of decent weather in any twelve-month’s period.  It’s not fair, but that’s the way it is.  However, even the places that are almost always nice will have at least one month that is better than the others.  And places that only get a few nice days will usually get them in some particularly favored month.

The lists in this category feature weather that is best for what may be termed “gracious living”.  This includes such activities as strolling about leisurely taking in the sights, shopping, lying in a hammock or lounge chair and reading, a casual round of golf, a not-too-vigorous set of tennis, taking your time with a cup of coffee or a cocktail at a sidewalk café, and similar activities of this sort.  Skiers, surfers, and others who have special weather needs should use the “by area” selection process.
